Blue and white porcelain has always been a favorite with collectors and homeowners. There is a long history to the blue white lamp that dates back to China. In as early as the 9th century during the Tang dynasty, blue and white porcelain was fist created. By the 14th century, the production of fine translucent blue and white porcelain began at the Imperial kilns at Jingdezhen, China, the porcelain capital of the world. Several centuries later, England began producing the blue and white porcelain. Today, these beautiful blue and white objects – plates, vases, figurines, and lamps – can be found throughout the world.
